A
Brief Guide to Digital Photography Just five reasons for going digital include:
A basic point-and-shoot digital stills camera is likely to cost between four and six times the cost of an similarly specified compact 35mm camera. However, this will only have the out-of-the-box ability to take about sixteen photographs unless more is invested in purchasing further storage media (about the price of yet another 35mm camera). The resulting digital images can then be imported into presentations or other electronic documents, or taken via the removable storage media to a conventional photo processors for printing (nearly all of whom now have to offer a digital imaging service to survive); or the user can manage the printing his or herself, provided they have the right equipment and materials.
